Valentine Flower Arrangements

February 4, 2010

Valentine Flower are one of the most popular gifts given and sent on Valentines day. Sons buy a pretty posy for their mom, boys buy them for their girlfriends, and husbands buy them in bouquets for their wives. Men have them delivered or hand deliver them themselves. Flora are a winner when it comes to this holiday of love.

Where can you find them? Arrangements are available at almost every grocery store, gift store, mass merchandise store, pharmacies, and florist shops. You can purchase them online or in person. When you buy them online or from a florist you have the option of having them delivered. It’s a big deal to women to get this type of delivery as all the other women gather round, sniff them, and gush about how lucky they are to have a man who will order them.

Roses are probably the most popular pick, and each color has a different meaning. Red roses stand for love and passion. Pink represents gratitude and happiness, white roses are considered a bridal rose and represent innocence and purity. Yellow is for friendship, so skip these if you are sending them to a girlfriend. Orange roses represent desire. Purple can mean you fell in love at first sight, so don’t send these to your casual co-worker or secretary. When you mix colors together they can mean different things to, so be sure to ask the florist what color will get your message across.

Another great bloom is the Carnation. These also have special meanings with each color. Pink is beauty, red is love, purple capriciousness, yellow is rejection and disappointment, and white stands for purity. Beware of striped Carnations as they mean refusal.

One thing to consider before you purchase any type of plant is allergies. Is she allergic to your blooms? Hopefully she would have already told you at some point in the relationship. If you are unsure, ask her mother.

Valentine Flower have been given on Valentines day since way back in the 1700s. Women love them, and little girls dream of getting them. You can’t go wrong with this timeless gift!
